ABOUT THE ARTIST

About the Artist
Los Angeles photographer Jim Brammer is an award-winning photographic artist and owner of State of the Art Images, a fine art, portraiture and commercial photography studio located near Los Angeles in Tarzana, California. Honored as 2009 “Small Business of the Year” by the United Chambers of Commerce, winner in the “Photographer” category of the LA Daily News Readers Choice Awards for the last four years, and among three finalists for Volunteer of the Year in the LA Business Journal’s 2011 Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Awards, Jim is also Chairman of Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County (PPLAC) and a member of numerous professional photography organizations. His passion for the visual arts and many years of photographic artistry come through in every fine art image he creates. Jim and his wife, Marcia, take great pride in creating a unique experience for each client, starting with a personally-designed photo session that produces a custom portfolio of images and services that will excite, delight and inspire for years to come.

Giving Back
Jim and Marcia believe strongly in giving back to the community. They are active members of the City of Hope Board of Governors, where Jim sits on the Executive Committee and is a speaker on the City of Hope Speakers Bureau. In addition to being an Honorary Trustee with the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Charities, Jim is the Chairman of the Board and official photographer for the Valley Cultural Center in Woodland Hills, California. Jim also donates his time and photographic artistry to numerous other charities, including Spotlight the Arts Foundation, the Festival of New American Musicals, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, to name a few.
